Melanie began playing the flute at the age of seven and the piano very soon after; adding other instruments such as the saxophone and clarinet along the way.

She studied under the late prestigious concert pianist Katrina George, winning many music festival trophies.

Melanie started her teaching career in 1997 in the Blackpool and Fylde area moving to the Leeds/Wakefield area in 2006.

She continues to enjoy helping young people and adults alike reach their full potential, specializing in Grade V music theory, with or without instrument tuition.
